🔧 Why Every Agent Needs a Handyman in Their Corner

Happy Monday!

Here is an Idea, an Action, and a Question to consider this week.

Idea

In a sluggish market, having a reliable go-to handyman at your side is essential. Unexpected situations demand immediate attention––whether it's a damaged door during a move, wood rot jeopardizing a VA loan, or a leaky sink threatening to derail a closing. You can’t let a simple fix get in the way of closing a deal––especially when deals are harder to come by.

A dependable handyman can tackle these unforeseen issues, ensuring your operations run smoothly. While your niche may dictate more of a general contractor, every agent needs a handyman who can handle those last-minute fixes. Whether flipping properties or managing Airbnb investments, swift handyman assistance can make all the difference in maintaining positive outcomes and stellar guest reviews.

As you grow your supply chain, ensure you add at least one solid handyman to your list.  This relationship can pay off tenfold.

Action

If you don’t have a handyman: Reach out to your colleagues and find out who they use. Then make an appointment to meet with him/her to discuss your needs and their skills. If you do have a handyman: Share this person with an agent who needs someone great!

Question

Do you have two handymen on your roster who you trust? This is one area that having a backup can save the day.
